The plating used is thick enough to last, but it goes without saying that you must preserve your bracelets by storing them carefully so that they do not scratch or scuff themselves when in contact with other metal objects.

You should also avoid immersing your leather watch bands in liquids, as they may cause corners, but you can wax them gently with a transparent leather polish or care cream that will have a waterproofing effect to protect them.
